The Gloucester Dukes track and field team competed in the Peninsula District Meet 3 at Todd Stadium in Newport News on April 27.

JV athlete Hannah Broadwell placed third in the girls’ 800-meter run with a time of 2:51.32. Fellow JV runners Casey Billings and Hannah Symonds placed sixth and ninth, respectively, with times of 3:00.12 and 3:04.65.

In the girls’ 1600-meter run, Annalise Helton took fifth with a time of 6:56.32. Emma Gentry ran 7:07.76 for seventh place. JV runners Kendall Carucci and Chloe Sylvester took ninth and 10th, respectively, with times of 7:31.23 and 7:31.29.

The girls’ 4x800 relay team finished in second with a time of 13:09.70.

In the boys’ 1600-meter run, Carter Hill came in second with a time of 5:33.48. Joshua Rodriguez-Cruz finished in eighth place with a time of 5:44.96.
