GHS track athletes perform well at Real Deal Classic

Gloucester High School track and field athletes continued to perform well at the Real Deal High School Classic Dec. 9 and 10 at the Boo Williams Sportsplex.

Kayla Sadler qualified for the Peninsula District Meet with a time of 3:23.59 in the 1000 meter race. Kevin Speray was a district qualifier in both the 1000 and the 1600 with times of 2:49.25 and 4:41.49, respectively, and set a meet record in the 1600.

Anna Robins and Blake Waters also qualified in the 1600 with times of 5:55.34 and 4:52.21, respectively. Natalia Bueker qualified for districts in the 300 meter dash at 43.40 and for the regional meet in the high jump with a leap of 4’10". Evan Wagner set a meet record and qualified for the state meet in the high jump by clearing 5’2" and Hailey Lucas qualified in the shot put with a toss of 29’0.5".
