GHS tennis falls to Kecoughtan, 5-4

The Gloucester High School boys’ tennis team dropped a well-played match at Kecoughtan, 5-4, last Thursday despite having only five players.

Austin Cummingham recorded his second victory of the season at the number two seed for the Dukes, Chase VanFossen won at number four seed and Hayden Wagner picked up his first win at the number six position. Trey Reisser and Cummingham combined to win the first seed doubles match.

Rounding out the GHS team this year are Tony Thomas and Hayden Wagner. Former GHS athletic director Jon Hatch is coaching the boys’ team this spring.
