Gloucester High School swimmers were once again triumphant in their meet Tuesday with Bethel and Denbigh at Hampton University.
The Gloucester boys beat Bethel, 76-12, and Denbigh, 70-21, while the girls beat the Bruins, 75-21, and the Patriots, 78-12. Jax Knott, Hunter Lempka, Jason Degraw, Ethan Schacht and Hattie Yeager each had four first-place finishes for the Dukes.
Degraw, Colin Goetz, Schacht and Aleck Earwood won the 200 medley relay over Bethel and Denbigh with a time of 2.03.22 and Yeager, Livvie Cohn, Knott and Jessica Lawson also won their 200 medley in 2.16.38.
Aleck Earwood won the boys’ 200-yard freestyle while Sara Eddy beat her Denbigh opponent with a time of 2.59.91 in the same event. Schacht won the 200-yard individual medley in 2.24.36 and Cohn won the same event in 2.28.47.
Schacht and Yeager won their 50-yard freestyle races with times of 25.62 and 30.97, respectively, and Lawson was second in the girls’ race. Hunter Emanus and Knott won their 100-yar...
