GHS students to stage winning production for public Friday

Gloucester High School theater students took first place in the Conference 10 One Act Competition and now invite the public to see the play for free at 7 p.m. Friday in the GHS auditorium. 

The students performed the one act play, “One Lane Bridge,” in the conference competition and won over three other competing schools on Jan. 28 at Nansemond River High School.

The Gloucester actors head to Mills Godwin High School for the 5A South Regional one act competition on Saturday. There they will compete with seven other schools for an opportunity to advance to the state level.

GHS theater instructor Clint Alexander directs One Lane Bridge, which was written by Stephen Gregg. Jonie Phillips is the student director; Faith Hogge is the stage manager.
