GHS students produce award-winning video

Two Gloucester High School television production students and their instructor helped Rappahannock Community College produce an award-winning video promoting its workforce development program.

As part of the 10th anniversary of its workforce development HIRE Education conference, the Virginia Community College System held a YouTube Workforce video contest. The contest asked colleges and other organizations to show what the workforce looked like in their areas.

Third-year GHS television production students Donald Edgerly and Clifton Jackson, along with instructor Jeffrey Leone, produced the RCC contest entry which features Jason Perry and Rusty Bragg of the college’s workforce development program.

The video, titled "RCC Workforce Trek," took first place among nine entries and the $1,000 top award. Perry said the prize money, presented at the Dec. 9 HIRE conference, will be donated to the GHS video production program.
