GHS soccer has challenging start

The Gloucester High School varsity boys’ soccer team has had a challenging start to the spring season and stands at 1-4-1 going into the break.

The Dukes took a 6-3 loss at Bethel on March 27 before rebounding with a 2-1 win at Poquoson the following day. Chandler Records and Chris Morrison scored for the Dukes against the Islanders.

Caleb Hines opened Gloucester scoring against Bethel and Records followed with a pair of goals. That was all the Dukes would get as Bethel senior Ethan Larsen struck for four goals and Bethel added two more to get the 6-3 win.
