GHS seniors receive over $2 million in scholarships

Gloucester High School held its annual Senior Scholarship Night May 23 at the school. College scholarship awards for members of the GHS Class of 2012 totaled over $2 million and were announced as follows:

Elaina Arsenovic—University of Alabama, $9,855 per year for four years totaling $39,420.

Ashley Bonniville—Mary Baldwin College academic standing award, $6,500 per year for four years totaling $26,000.

Denton Brandy Jr.—Culinary Institute of America, $1,000 Alumni Referral Scholarship, $1,000 SAT/ACT Achievement Scholarship, $2,000 ProStart Scholarship, $6,248 quarter tuition grant.

Molly Brawley—Johnson & Wales, $4,000 Prostart Scholarship, $22,000 FCCLA Scholarship.

Margaret Brown—$1,000 Smart Account Bowling Scholarship, Randolph-Macon College, $4,000 FAFSA filer grant, $10,000 Interview Scholarship, $68,000 President’s Award.
