Nevaeh Washington, right, a graduating senior at Gloucester High School, recently received a $1,000 scholarship from Abingdon Woman’s Club president Linda DeTurk, on behalf of the club. Washington will attend Virginia Commonwealth University in the fall and plans to major in biochemistry, a release said.
