The Gloucester boys and girls won their cross country races with Heritage on Oct. 5 at Beaverdam Park. Each of the Dukes’ top seven boys ran personal season records as they posted a perfect score of 15 on the 5K course.
Logan Pitchford, Cameron Cross and Tyler Price paced Gloucester and finished within one second of each other spanning 17:37-17:38. They were followed by Blake Waters in 17:56, Eric Speray in 18:32, Adrian Garcia in 18:58 and Zach Whitson in 20:04.
Seven of the GHS girls crossed the finish line before the first Hurricane runner, led by Anna Robins with a personal season record time of 20:34. Carrie Adams finished in 22:43, eighth grader Madison Hogge was next in 22:54 and followed by Ashley Purrington in 23:34, Megan Hogge in 24:03, Leah Procopi in 24:18 and Alex Londonberg in 24:59.
The Gloucester harriers were slated to race Denbigh yesterday and host Phoebus next Wednesday to close the regular season schedule.
