GHS runners excel at Newport News Invitational

Gloucester High School cross country runners had good performances in the annual Newport News Cross Country Invitational on Saturday in Newport News Park. The top 15 runners in each division received a medal. 

The GHS boys’ C team placed eighth overall paced by junior Chase Holland who was 11th. The girls’ C team was fourth overall led by Maddie Hogge at 10th place and Mackenzie Marbain at 15th. 

The junior varsity Gloucester boys were fifth overall led by eighth grader Joshua Shackelford who placed fourth. The JV girls were first overall led by Megan McGee at sixth, Erin Bristow at 10th, Alissa Adickes at 13th, Kaylynn Glockner at 15th and Chasity Lass at 19th.  The GHS harriers are scheduled to participate in the 56th annual William and Mary Invitational at Eastern State Hospital, Williamsburg, on Saturday before opening the dual meet season with Menchville next Wednesday at Beaverdam Park....
