For its exceptional record of leadership, service and civic activities that improve the school and community, the Gloucester High School Student Council Association was awarded the 2025-2026 Achievement Award during the 99th annual Virginia Student Council Association (VSCA) State Convention, held March 13-14 at Orange County High School. To meet the requirements for the VSCA Achievement Award, a student council must submit documentation that proves it completed certain activities throughout the calendar year, including a required project and eight additional projects from a list of 20 options for a high school award. SCA groups can choose to organize a community service project, participate in new student orientation, hold an assembly, conduct regular meetings, lead a fundraiser, organize a food drive, hold a voter registration drive, and participate in VSCA state and regional activities to meet eligibility.
