GHS offers session on financial aid Dec. 8

A Financial Aid Information Night will be hosted by the Gloucester High School counseling department beginning at 6 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 8, in the GHS Duke Rock Café. Students and parents will have the opportunity to review and complete financial aid forms, including the FAFSA, for grants, loans and scholarships.

GHS counseling director Kim Chandler said the event is a must for students who will be attending a post-secondary school next year. Chandler said the FAFSA form is required for all federal loans and grants, and often for college-issued scholarships. "Even if you think you will not qualify for aid, it is imperative that you complete the FAFSA," she added.
Seniors and their parents may also review financial aid and scholarship information on the GHS website in the school counseling section. The section contains links to local, state, national and college-based scholarships and to the FAFSA form.
