GHS, MHS cross country teams compete in weekend invitational

The Gloucester High School and Mathews High School cross country teams competed in the Albert E. Dorner: Newport News Invitational Cross Country Meet at Newport News Park Saturday.

The Gloucester boys came in 13th overall and the girls finished 18th overall. Josh Pinder came in first for Gloucester with a time of 19:25, followed by Rylan Allcorn with a time of 19:58 and Tyler Hicks (20:03).

Leo Berry finished with a time of 20:29, followed by Owen Hogge (21:17), Clayton Miller (21:56), Ethan Gardiner (22:27), Braden Enoch (22:33), Wyatt Pruitt (22:44.24), Ian Waters (22:44.59), Joel Taylor (23:11), Brandon Carucci (23:43), Michael Asnicar (24:26), Pace Peterson (24:30) Jacob Poulin (25:08) and D.J.
