GHS men’s junior quad wins state gold medal

Gloucester High School’s Titus Fox, Jeb Hutson, Zane Musick-Williams and Mitchell Moore produced a gold medal performance on Saturday in the Virginia Scholastic Rowing Association Championships held at Sandy Run Regional Park in Northern Virginia.

GHS was one of 47 schools taking part. The gold medal team in the men’s junior quad race covered the course in 4:57.7, beating Albemarle by 1.8 seconds and avenging a loss to Albemarle the week before in Mathews.

The men’s senior double of Hunter Emanus and Gage Holland also turned in an outstanding performance, earning a bronze medal in 5:30.5. Finishing out the medal performances for Gloucester, the men’s junior double of Jayden Jones and Ian Buswell also earned a bronze medal with a time of 5:58.2.
