GHS Latin students recognized for performance on exam

Gloucester High School senior Cameron Cross recently received his fourth gold medal for summa cum laude performance on the annual National Latin Exam. Cross will receive the Oxford Classical Dictionary for his achievement and is eligible for a $1,000 scholarship to pursue college-level classical studies.

Fourth year Latin students who received silver medals for maxima cum laude performance were Kayla McCuistion, Shelley Brown and Caitlin Jamison, and Patrick Bains was recognized for his magna cum laude score. Magna cum laude scores were also achieved by third-year students Ainsley Short and Lee Siegle.
Among second-year students, Matthew Holm received a gold medal for his summa cum laude score and Casey Keller received a silver medal for a maxima cum laude score. Magna cum laude recognition went to Tiffany Adams and cum laude recognition to Kathryn McCreary, Drew Anderson and Patience Thompson.
