GHS JV track ends 2015 season

Gloucester High School junior varsity track and field athletes closed their 2015 season with a meet at Norfolk Academy on May 7. The girls placed third as a team and the boys were second at the meet where the JV Dukes posted 20 new personal records.

Chasity Lass, Allison Kladler, Megan McGee and Alissa Adickes won the two-mile relay and Ruby Williams, Allison Ferreira, Lauryn Purdy and Kaylynn Glockner won the mile relay.

Williams was fourth in the 100-meter dash and sixth in the 400, Adickes was fifth in the mile, Kladler was sixth in the mile and Lass was eighth. Glockner was third in the three meter hurdles, Purdy was sixth in the 400, Ferreira was seventh in the 400 and Chynna Penird was fifth in shot put.

Also for the juniors, John Pryor Jr. won the 100 and the 200. Caleb Fjeld, Joshua Shackelford, Aaron Shipe and Andrew Wible won the two-mile relay and Noah Bondurant, Blake Freeman, Justin Young and Shackelford won the mile relay. Freeman, Young, Pryor and Bondurant were fourt...
