GHS JV hockey has 4-0 record, wins at Warhill

The Gloucester High School junior varsity field hockey team improved to 4-0 with a 7-1 win at Warhill last Thursday.

Sharing the ball and being unselfish is a trademark of the junior Dukes and 10 players had goals or scoring assists in this win. Megan Crowley led the team with two goals and three assists.

Goals also came from forwards Hannah Hamay, Aubree Dorsey, Lily Perger and Ella Poulson. On a set corner play, Anna Owens found the cage to close out scoring.

Poulson had two assists and scoring assists came from Kylie Frush, Avery Smith, Bayleigh Andersen, Jordan Scott and Perger. In the goal, keeper Lexi Little had a pair of saves and Marie Wilson had three. The game was once again shortened by the mercy rule. The Gloucester juniors have scored 41 goals this season while giving up just their first one. They have taken 127 shots on goal while allowing only six and have earned 40 penalty corners while allowing two.
