GHS Homecoming Parade to be held Oct. 5

Gloucester High School will celebrate homecoming Oct. 2-6. The homecoming parade will be held Thursday, Oct. 5 beginning at 5:15 p.m. The Main Street parade will start at the Main Street Center and end at Botetourt Elementary. 

Only groups associated with GHS or Gloucester County Public Schools will be allowed to participate. Buses will take children to and from the Main Street area to help alleviate traffic congestion. 

GHS SCA members will walk the parade route and clean up any mess that is left by the parade. “We appreciate the use of Main Street for our parade and hope that it does not cause too much inconvenience,” said GHS SCA sponsor Jennifer Rowe.

The Gloucester varsity Dukes will take on the Warwick Raiders in the homecoming football game beginning at 7 p.m. on Oct. 6. The coronation of the 2017 Homecoming Court will take place at halftime and the GHS Marching Dukes will perform.  ...
