GHS homecoming parade set for Oct. 7

Gloucester High School is planning to hold its 2021 homecoming parade on Main Street from 5:15 to 6:45 p.m. next Thursday, Oct. 7. The parade will line up at Main Street Center and travel to Botetourt Elementary School.

Parade entries such as vehicles and floats should arrive at Main Street Center no later than 4:30 p.m. Vehicles that are not directly in the parade are not permitted to park in the staging area. Also, floats/trailers with hay on them will not be allowed in the parade.

Buses will pick up parade participants in the T.J. Maxx parking lot and transport them to Main Street Center. No drop-offs will be allowed at the parade line-up site. Participants will be transported back to the T.J. Maxx parking lot at the conclusion of the parade.

There is a fee to take part in the parade to help offset costs associated with it. The fee for community participants (non-GHS) is $30 and the fee for GHS clubs and groups is $20. Completed parade entry forms and payments are due to G...
