GHS grads receive wealth of scholarships

Gloucester High School graduates last month received a wealth of scholarships from local organizations, trusts, estates, institutions of higher learning, and other sources. Recipients and their grants include the following:
Destini Baccus, Trustee Scholarship, $8,000.
Faith Bauman, Virginia Merit Award Scholarship, $16,000.
Brooke Billhimer, Gloucester Sheriff’s Office Deputies for Education Scholarship, $500; Gloucester Field Hockey Club Scholarship, $500; Bill Hudgins Automotive Scholarship, $300; Gloucester-Mathews County Farm Bureau Scholarship, $1,000; PLP Scholarship, $4,000.
Katelyn Binns, Rappahannock Community College Scholarship, $500.
Cody Brown, Betty and Turnley Todd Educational Foundation Scholarship, $2,000; Air Force ROTC Scholarship, $72,000; Holy Cross Grant, $2,000; Moreau Presidential Scholarship, $120,000; Saint Mary’s Grant, $11,500.Hailey Brown, UMC Dollars for Scholars, $3,500.
