GHS grads receive $240,700 in local scholarships

Graduates from Gloucester High School’s newest graduating class received a total of $240,700 worth of scholarships last month from several local organizations. Recipients and their scholarships include the following:

Alexis Adams—Gloucester Field Hockey Club Scholarship, $500; GHS Athletic Booster Club Scholarship, $1,000; Tidewater Chapter of Credit Unions Jack E. O’Connor Scholarship, $1,000.

Beau Adams—RCC EFI General Endowed Scholarship, $500; Gloucester Point Rotary Club Scholarship, $1,000.

Bayleigh Andersen—Joyce Bascombe Memorial Scholarship, $1,000; Ellis W. Rowe Memorial Scholarship of the Hampton Roads Community Foundation, $12,000.

Caleb Altland—RCC Dr. Dorothy Cosby Cooke Scholarship Endowment, $1,500.

Kaylin Amaral—Gloucester Band Boosters Scholarship, $500.

Daniella Asnicar—GHS NJROTC Scholarship, $1,000.

William Tyler Bagent—Gloucester Sheriff’s Office Deputies for Education Scholarship, $1,000; GHS NJROTC Scholarship, $750.
