GHS grads receive $166,104 in local scholarships

Students from Gloucester High School’s newest graduating class received a total of $166,104 worth of scholarships last month from local organizations. Recipients and their scholarships include the following:

Lucy Alexander—Bill Forrest and John Raynes Memorial Scholarship, $500.

Priscilla Bailey—Rappahannock Community College Dr. Dorothy Cosby Cooke Scholarship Endowment, $1,500.

Kendall Billings—Etta Lewis Anderton Scholarship, $1,000; Gloucester Education Association Scholarship, $250; Gloucester Retired Educators Association Carris Harris Memorial Scholarship, $1,500; Gloucester Retired Educators Association Scholarship, $500.

Abby Brown—Turnley and Betty Todd Educational Foundation Inc. Scholarship, $2,000.
