Gloucester High School golfers completed their sweep of the Peninsula District schedule this week and are headed to the Group 5A South Regional Tournament on Monday. 

Playing at Kiskiack on Monday, Hunter Martin had another 68 round for the Dukes, followed by Cameron Baker with 78, Nathan Gross with 79 and Lathan Burnette with an 80 for a team score of 305. Blake Taylor shot an 82 and Jeremy Carr had an 86.

Playing at the Woodlands last Thursday, Gross received the medalist honors with his 72 as he finished just one stroke ahead of Martin. Carr and a 76 and Baker shot a 78 for a team score of 299. Burnette had an 81 and Taylor shot an 84.

Although results were not available for the other Peninsula competitors, Gloucester held a 161-shot advantage over second-place Menchville going into the final two matches.
