Gloucester High School freshmen Hunter Martin and Cameron Baker advanced to the Region 5A South Golf Tournament with their performances in the Conference 10 tourney at The Hamptons on Thursday and Friday. 

Great Bridge and Hickory were first and second, respectively, in the conference tournament and earned team bids to the regional. Minus those players, the top 10 individual finishers also received regional berths. Martin was second among those golfers with a 169 and Baker was third with 175. 

The medalist for the conference event was a Great Bridge golfer who shot 147 over the two days. Menchville was the third-place team, followed by the Dukes in fourth place.

The Region 5A South Tournament will be played Monday and Tuesday at The Hamptons. ...
