GHS golf falls behind Menchville in district

The Gloucester High School golf team has dropped to second in the Peninsula District, falling 14 strokes behind Menchville following last Thursday’s match at Deer Run Golf Club in Newport News.

Camden Richardson led the Gloucester golfers at Deer Run with an 81, followed by Andrew White with an 83, Gunner Healey with an 85 and Wyatt Lawson with a 92. Next for the Dukes was Jackson Dutton with a 94, followed by Lucy Alexander with a 100. Gloucester’s team score for the match was 341.

Averages for the Gloucester team so far this season are as follows: Healey (83), White (84.25), Richardson (84.75), Lawson (94), Dutton (97.3), Drew Adkins (102), Alexander (105) and Zachary Barrack (108). Gloucester’s overall team score is 1,378.
