GHS girls shut out Bethel in soccer, 8-0

The Gloucester High School varsity girls posted an eight-goal shutout over Bethel at the Hampton Sports Complex to open their Peninsula District soccer schedule on Friday.

The match opened with a goal by Audrey Collier, assisted by Carrie Adams. Marianne Warrington assisted Lauren Orga on the second goal of the game and Mary Williams made it 3-0 with an assist from Delaney Doyle.

In the second half, Adams scored with an assist by Olivia Cross, Katie Daugherty hit the net with an assist from Williams and Williams notched her second goal with an assist from Warrington. Maegan Beck also scored and Daugherty earned a second goal, both on rebounds.
The Dukes, at 2-0 overall, play at Heritage Friday.
