GHS girls post two shutout soccer wins

The Gloucester High School varsity Lady Dukes added two more wins in recent Peninsula District soccer play. The Gloucester girls beat Denbigh, 3-0, with two goals from Mary Williams, one assisted by Marianne Warrington and the other on a penalty kick, and one from Warrington after a pass from Olivia Cross.

The Dukes also beat Hampton, 2-0, with Williams and Katie Daugherty each scoring in the first 10 minutes. Their goals were assisted by Delaney Doyle and Warrington, respectively.

Gloucester is scheduled to play at Phoebus Friday and close the regular season schedule with a host of Warwick on Tuesday.
