The number-four seed Gloucester High School varsity girls’ soccer team beat fifth-seed Kecoughtan, 3-1, in the opening round of the Conference 10 Tournament last Thursday but lost, 5-2, to top-seeded Nansemond River on Tuesday.
Hannah Harris scored twice for the Dukes against Kecoughtan before the Warriors got on the board. Braedyn Davis got the third goal on a penalty kick.
Gloucester trailed Nansemond River, 3-0, at the half Tuesday and the teams traded goals in the second half. Harris struck for both of the Dukes’ goals.
The sixth-seeded GHS varsity boys were shut out, 5-0, by number three Warwick in the opening round of their Conference 10 Tournament on Friday. ...
