GHS girls crush Heritage, 21-0

The Gloucester High School varsity girls thumped visiting Heritage, 21-0, in softball action Tuesday to improve to 8-1. 

Kirsten Greene and Kayla Tobin combined for a 10-strikeout, no hit performance for the Dukes. Greene (6-1) pitched three innings and struck out six while Tobin pitched the final two and struck out four.

Gloucester took advantage of 15 walks and seven hit batters. Greene led the Dukes offensively with two hits and four RBIs and Courtney Hall added two RBIs.

The Dukes will travel to Stoney Run Sports Complex in Newport News Friday to meet Warwick at 6 p.m. and host Bethel Tuesday at 4:30.  ...
