GHS girls beat York, 53-28

After three games, both the Gloucester High School boys’ and girls’ varsity basketball teams have yet to get a Peninsula District win. The girls did beat York, 53-28, in a non-district game on Monday. 

The GHS boys, under first year head coach Mike Murphy, lost their home opener to Woodside, 67-37, on Nov. 28. They fell to host Heritage, 82-45, on Friday and at Kecoughtan, 64-39, on Tuesday. 

The GHS girls, led by coach Amy O’Neil, lost their home opener with Woodside, 61-40. They fell to Heritage, 65-36, and to Kecoughtan, 65-40. 

The Gloucester teams host Denbigh Friday night and play at Bethel on Tuesday.  ...
