Gloucester High School head varsity football coach Brandon Kelley was named the 2016 Conference 10 Football Coach of the Year in a polling of conference coaches.
“It’s a great honor to be named coach of the year, especially with so many other veteran and experienced coaches in the conference,” said Kelley.
“It’s a big accomplishment and an award that is a reflection of the staff that is dedicated and puts a ton of behind-the-scenes work in, and also a great representation of how hard the players have worked this off-season and allowed us to coach them during the season.
“This award is definitely a program award and I’m very proud to bring that to Gloucester this season,” said Kelley, who just finished his fourth season with the Dukes.
Gloucester, at 4-6 overall and 3-6 in the conference, narrowly missed a playoff slot this year but had several players named to the All Conference 10 teams.
