GHS field hockey carries unbeaten record into second half of season

Gloucester High School field hockey players carried their undefeated record (9-0) into the second half of the regular season schedule this week and beat visiting Menchville, 6-0, on Tuesday. 

Tori Harwood had a hat trick in the win and Cassidy Goodwin, Karly Harwood and Bri Greene scored. Brittany Romero and Goodwin each contributed two assists.

“We did a great job of coming out strong, controlling the tempo of the game and pressuring the goal. We also did a good job of cutting off their lanes and using our speed to our advantage,” assessed Gloucester coach Mike Miller.

The Dukes additionally won at Warwick, 4-0, last Thursday, paced by Goodwin with a pair of goals. Harwood and Romero also scored. Providing scoring assists were Maddie Hutson, Meredith LeBel, T.
