The Gloucester chapter of the Future Farmers of America held its winter degree ceremony on Jan. 30. Virginia Setterholm and Jordan Lynch received their Greenhand Degrees and Charlotte Evans received her Chapter Degree. Kara Willoughby also honored the chapter’s Environmental and Natural Resources team with a speech during the ceremony. These degrees reward active FFA members for progress in leadership, skills and occupational development. After members completed their first agricultural education class, they received their Greenhand Degree. After their second, they received their Chapter Degree. Other requirements to receive a degree include completing community service hours, having FFA knowledge and participating in chapter activities. Gloucester High School alumnus and past Gloucester FFA chapter president Brian Campbell attended and shared his experience in FFA.
