The Gloucester High School varsity boys’ soccer team returned to action Tuesday but lost, 3-0, to visiting Menchville.

The Dukes came into the game with great tenacity and pressure, and held the undefeated Monarchs to only one goal in the first half. In the second half, Menchville went on to score two more goals while Gloucester remained scoreless.

The Dukes have had a tough start to the season, playing some of the more challenging teams early. They continue to progress and learn from their mistakes to improve their squad going forward. 

Gloucester plays Maury in Norfolk today and meets West Point at GHS Friday.  ...
