GHS cross country runners headed to district meet

Gloucester High School cross country athletes are headed to the Peninsula District Meet today at Newport News Park. The GHS girls finished the district dual meet schedule with a 5-1 record and the boys finished at 2-4. The top seven runners from each district team will compete today to determine which harriers will advance to the Eastern Region Meet.

Running for the Gloucester girls will be Jasmin Scott, Marianne Warrington, Maddie Hogge, Chelsea Favazzo, Ashley Purrington, Rachel Petersen and Alyssa Crone. Sidney Ripley, Kendal Webb and Caitlyn Parr are the alternates.

On the boys’ side, Blake Waters, Aaron Parr, Zach Whitson, Jeremy Frush, Logan Touchstone, Alex Morales and Aaron Waters will compete. N’kem Boyd, Stonewall Hickman and Russell Simpson are the alternates.
