GHS crew second in state

Gloucester High School crew Jacob Gross, Jacob English, Willis Redding, Tristan Buswell and coxswain Josh Littlefield earned second place in the men’s varsity four event during the Virginia Scholastic Rowing state championships held over the weekend in Fairfax. With this placement, the team has earned the opportunity to compete in the Stotesbury Cup Regatta on Friday and Saturday in Philadelphia. The team is currently fundraising to support travel, lodging, equipment transportation and race expenses. The previous weekend, several GHS teams placed in several events in the first round of states. Mason Dominguez finished third overall in the men’s junior single event. Ryan Arnold, Jackson Wright, Aidyn Noe, Makai Barker and coxswain Jakob Johnson placed fourth overall in the men’s novice four event.
