Gloucester Rowing Ass-ociation’s Men’s Junior 4+ team competed Friday at the 98th annual Stotesbury Cup Regatta in Philadelphia.
The boat, consisting of Gloucester High School students Willis Redding, Zachary Hudson, Jacob Gross, Tristan Buswell and coxswain Josh Littlefield, placed 19 out of 60 teams.
Gloucester narrowly missed advancing to the semifinals by less than a second, but successfully bested Independence High School’s team who placed first in the Virginia State Championship the week before.
