GHS boys place fourth in invitational

The Gloucester High School cross country team competed in its final invitational event of the season on Sept. 28 with the Gloucester boys coming in fourth of 15 teams.

Blake Waters finished first for the Dukes and third overall with a time of 18:16 and teammate Aaron Parr finished in the top 20 with a time of 19:06. Anna Robins won the girls’ race for Gloucester in 20:56 and Jasmin Scott was in the top 20 with a time of 22:25. The girls’ squad finished fourth of 11 teams.

 

In their most recent Peninsula District dual meet, the Lady Dukes beat Bethel paced by Robins who won the race in 19:41. She was followed by Marianne Warrington in 21:57. The Gloucester boys fell to Bethel, led by Waters in 18:12. Parr was next for the Dukes and fifth overall in 19:17.
