The Gloucester High School varsity boys’ basketball team got its second win of the season over a Peninsula District team on Jan. 4 with a 71-64 victory at Warwick. 

Gloucester junior Demariyea Sills led the Dukes with 20 points as his team improved to 5-7 overall.

The GHS varsity girls, still looking for a win, came up well short in a 51-16 loss to the Raiders. 

Games with Bethel and Warhill, scheduled for Jan. 6 and 9, respectively, were cancelled due to the weather. The Dukes are scheduled to return to action Friday, as host to Menchville. ...
