GHS basketball suffers week of losses

The Gloucester High School varsity boys’ and girls’ basketball teams have both suffered losses this past week on the road.

Friday night, the girls lost to Bethel, 59-9. Rylie Williams, Bailey Wilson, Joelle Forrest and Samantha Carlton each scored two points. Amari Marsh scored one point.

The boys did not fare much better, falling to Bethel, 86-25.

The girls also lost to York Monday night, 51-38. Sydney Taylor scored a total of 10 points, followed by Gabby Davison with seven, Cori Morgan with six, Forrest with five, Wilson with four, and Marsh, Williams and Nevaeh Najar with two points apiece.

Both teams also lost to Kecoughtan at Tuesday night’s away games.
