GHS baseball posts double wins over Woodside

The Gloucester High School varsity baseball team defeated Woodside twice over the past week.
The Dukes traveled to defeat the Wolverines, 20-3, last Tuesday, May 20. Brayden Scott (7-1) pitched the game. Grayson Shields had three hits for three at-bats and three RBIs. Tyler Boulay had four hits for five at-bats and Jackson had two hits for five at-bats. Both players recorded four RBIs each.
Gloucester hosted Wood-side Saturday, besting the Wolverines, 14-4. Trevor Richardson (7-1) pitched. Shield recorded two hits for two at-bats, as well as four RBIs. Hank Hardaway had two hits for four at-bats.
The Dukes ended their regular season with a record of 17-4. Gloucester will play again on Monday at War Memorial Stadium, Hampton, in the region semifinals, beginning at 7:30 p.m.
