Gloucester High School varsity soccer, baseball and softball teams begin Eastern Region Tournament play this week. 

GHS hosted the opening round of the boys’ soccer regional tourney yesterday. Menchville and Hampton were scheduled to begin play at 5 p.m. with the Gloucester versus Hickory match up set for 7 p.m. Results were not available at press time. 

If the Dukes beat Hickory, they play again on Wednesday, May 29 at 5 or 7 p.m. at Powhatan Field in Norfolk. 

The GHS varsity girls’ soccer team was scheduled to open play with Hickory yesterday at 5 p.m. at Hickory High School in Chesapeake. If Gloucester won, they play again at 5 or 7 p.m. Tuesday at Powhatan Field.

The GHS varsity softball team is scheduled to open Eastern Regional play at 11 a.m. Saturday at Stoney Run Athletic Complex in Newport News. If the Dukes win, they play again at 11 a.m. Monday at Stoney Run.
