GHS alums excel in college athletics

Gloucester High School activities director Jon Hatch recently provided an update on GHS alumni who have been successfully competing in athletics on the college level.

Hatch said 2009 graduate Shelly Milks of Lynchburg College was named the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) Field Hockey Player of the Year for the third consecutive year. She was also named to the ODAC All-Conference First Team.

 

Corey Sindle, GHS class of 2010, picked up his third conference award and second consecutive All-ODAC First Team honor as a soccer forward at Randolph College. Sindle also scored the most goals in the ODAC over the last three seasons, posting 34.

Lindsay Snavely, also a 2010 grad, ranked second in team points with four goals and two assists for the University of South Alabama soccer team.
