GHA raising money for Buck’s Store roof

The Guinea Heritage Association is in the middle of a fundraising campaign to raise money needed to replace the standing seam metal roof at the Buck’s General Store museum in Bena. The GHA has made significant progress in other parts of the ongoing restoration project, including a new bathroom, septic system, accessibility ramp and air conditioning. Outside renovations are underway as well.

The cost to replace the roof is estimated at almost $50,000, with a Giving Tuesday (Nov. 30) campaign goal of getting at least half that amount.

All the funds raised on Giving Tuesday will go toward the new roof. For more information, visit www.guineaheritage.org to learn more about the renovation and to donate on or before Nov. 30.
