Gerald M. Matuszewski, “Ski,” of Gloucester, was called home Sept. 14, 2017 after a short battle with cancer.

He was born in South Amboy, New Jersey, Dec. 18, 1945. He lived in Gloucester for the last 35 years with his wife. Ski was an avid classic car lover. He served his country with pride in the Air Force.

Ski had a heart of gold and it belonged to his wife of 37 years. Family was very important to him, and he loved them all, even his fur babies.

Ski is survived by his wife, Ann; his stepchildren, Cindy Smith and her husband Billy, Shane Kersey and his wife Angela; as well as his grandchildren, Porsha and Dorian. He is also survived by his sister, JoAnn Slania, and nephew, Peter Shania. 

Ski chose to be cremated so there will be a celebration of his life at a later date.
