GEORGE NEVILLE PIERCE

George Neville Pierce, 69, of Glenns, Va., died peacefully at home on Saturday, Jan. 19, 2013.

He was a lifetime member of New Hope United Methodist Church, and a proud grandfather of four grandsons. He was a graduate of Pleasant Hill High School, a veteran of the United States Army, retired from VDOT, and an avid golf enthusiast.

Neville was preceded in death by his parents, Franklin and Sue Pierce, and a brother, Philip. He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Jackie; daughters, Carmen Best (Joe), and Susanne Robinson (Jason); son, Marshall Pierce (Ashley); grandsons, Logan Robinson, Hunter Pierce, Liam Robinson, and Isaac Best; brothers, James Pierce (Mary) and Mac Pierce (Paula); and nephews, Jef Pierce and Ryan Pierce.

The family received friends from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 23, at Bristow-Faulkner Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Saluda, Va. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 24, in the New Hope United Methodist Church, Gloucester County, Va. Interment will be in church cemetery.
