Genealogy group to meet virtually Saturday

The Middle Peninsula African-American Genealogical and Historical Society will hold a virtual meeting at 11 a.m. Saturday.

The meeting will feature a roundtable discussion at which participants will have the opportunity to share queries and details about their family research. Family historians from around the country have traced their roots to Virginia’s Middle Peninsula and Northern Neck.

Those participating will be able to share surnames and places with other researchers as well as to share resources and research techniques that have been used successfully.

MPAAGHS annual dues of $20 may be paid on the MPAAGHS website, mpaagenealogicalsociety.org, or checks may be made payable to MPAAGHS, 4114 Tidewater Trail, Jamaica, Va. 23079.
