Gene Arthur Dease Sr. of Gloucester, passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 7, 2018.

He was born in Reading, Pennsylvania, and was the son of the late Earl and Emma Hester Dease. He retired from Hall Construction in 2002 after many years of service. He also served in the U.S. Army.

He is survived by his wife, Thelma Dease; children, Gene A. Dease Jr. (Christina), Thelma F. Hellebrandt (Paul), and Edward Clinton Dease (Janet); sister, Katherine Eckroth; grandchildren, Travis, Tiffany, Shane, Brandon, Brittany, Josh, Nickie, and Andrew, and six great- grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Feb. 17, 2018, at 1 p.m. in the funeral home.

Memorial donations may be made to the Shriners Hospital for Children.
