GCPS welcomes summer interns

Gloucester County Public Schools welcomed eight new student interns last week as part of the Gloucester Cooperative Education Partnership.

The interns will work across various GCPS departments including technology, transportation and education, as well as at Abingdon and Achilles elementary schools. The program gives students an opportunity to earn a wage while gaining hands-on experience in career areas of their interest, applying skills learned in the classroom and earning transcript credit for their work experience.

For more information of how to partner with this program, contact Kristen Long, work-based learning coordinator for GCPS, by phone at 804-384-0390 or by email at kristen.long@gc.k12.va.us.
